Summer Reading Program Grants Available
The Lane Library League is again offering grants to help fund Summer Reading Programs (SRPs) in rural Lane County. Each year, from six to eight library programs in rural Lane County receive these grants, based on their proposals for offering a Summer Reading Program in their community.
Each site develops its program, often using the theme and materials developed by the Collaborative Summer Library Program (www.cslpreads.org). This year's theme is "Make a Splash: READ." Programs range from four to eight weeks, and from four to ten hours per week. For more information or to apply, contact the Summer Reading Program coordinator at sperezwest@gmail.com. The deadline for proposals for 2010 grants is April 26, 2010. They may be e-mailed.
